Simple Real Time Search to counter Misinformation
Fact Checkers and Journalists fighting misinformation need a reliable way to store and search millions of images, audios and videos circulating on chat apps and social media. Since a lot of this data is often recirculate
RepositoryThis project is a part of the suite of FOSS tools we are building to fight online misinformation at Tattle
Reliable Storage and Search is key to automating chores associated with fighting online misinformation. While there are complex image matching algorithms etc out there (We've made one of those too) given the nature of data sharing on Indian chat apps and social media, even basic duplicate detection algorithms like phash can prove to be a very useful.
This Simple Real Time Search Service eschews fancy algorithms and takes the stand to provide a practical tool to anyone working on online misinformation.
